Since my youth, I have been captivated by the art of photography. Old photographs of distant relatives I'd never met and images of my parents and grandparents when they were young left a lasting impact on me. This sparked my passion for photography, leading me to purchase my first 35mm film camera, a Nikon FG20, with a detachable lens in 1987.
Throughout the years, I have continued to pursue photography as a hobby alongside raising a family and building a career. It was after retiring from a prominent consumer goods company where I worked as a research scientist that I decided to take my photography more seriously. In my post-corporate life, I embarked on a mission to share my artistic vision with a wider audience through photography, leading to the creation of this website.
My love for nature and the philosophical teachings of the Tao Te Ching have been significant sources of inspiration for my art. I received formal training at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. My work has been displayed in various reputable institutions such as The Springfield Museum of Art, The Cincinnati Art Academy, Antioch College's Herndon Gallery, Carl Solway Gallery, and Pop Revolution Gallery.
I currently reside near Cincinnati, Ohio, with my wife, Latiera. As empty nesters, we cherish spending time with loved ones and embarking on new travel adventures.
It is my hope that you derive as much joy from viewing and owning my images as I do from creating them.
Warm regards,
Marcus W. Evans
